The Buffalo Rugby Club Splits a Pair of Games in Pittsburgh

The Buffalo Rugby Club traveled to Pittsburgh, PA to play a pair of games versus the Pittsburgh Harlequins.  The Harlequins first side is currently ranked #3 in the Mid Atlantic D1 league.  However,  Buffalo's D2 side was up to the task taking a 28-17 win in a game with several lead changes.  Scoring tries for Buffalo were Manderjiht Singh, Grant Currey, Mackenzie Doolittle, and Joe Philips. Luca Wrabetz added 4 conversions to round out the scoring.  In the second game, Buffalo's defense faltered and the Harlequins D2 beat Buffalo D3 20-13.  Dave Piraino accounted for all of Buffalo's points scoring 2 tries and a penalty kick.  Buffalo has another road trip next weekend to face the Toronto Nomads.  The team then has a week off before starting the Empire Geographic Union play-offs in Buffalo on March 30.
