Can't touch me
After withstanding early pressure by their opponents, the Buffalo Rugby Club (BRC) D2 and D3 sides gained bonus point wins to remain on top of their respective league tables.
The D3 side took nearly 15 minutes before crossing the try line. The backline was the 6th different combination in as many games and they took a little time getting use to each other. The forwards did the hard work and provided consistent quick ball that allowed the backs to run in 4 first half tries for a 29-0 lead. In the second half, the D3 side continued to attack successfully and scored 32 points while allowing only 2 unconverted tries giving the side a 61-10 win.
The D2 side squandered some early possession and found itself behind 7-0 after 15 minutes. After an interception that led to a converted try to tie the score, the D2 side poured on the pressure and scored 27 points in 20 minutes to run out to a comfortable 34-10 lead at the half. Maybe too comfortable as the side eased off on the work rate and was outscored 10-6 in the second half. Despite the let up, the D2 side grabbed their 5th win 40-20.
In a game of two halves, the D2 boys realized at the end they need to play 80 minutes hard to win their next two games against Pittsburgh RFC and Syracuse.D3 League Standings
